The glue used is specifically formulated for the specific properties of the vinyl flooring, ensuring a strong bond. However, when attaching vinyl flooring, it's easy for glue to spill onto the surface, significantly affecting the overall aesthetics. Furthermore, the longer the glue remains, the more difficult it becomes to remove. Here are some methods for removing glue from vinyl flooring for your reference.
Alcohol
Besides being used for disinfection, alcohol is also a commonly used organic solvent. Spray alcohol on the glue spill to dissolve it, using the principle of like dissolving like. Then wipe it clean with paper.
Acetone
Like alcohol, acetone is an organic solvent, and its principle of removing spilled glue is the same as alcohol. However, acetone is a volatile and toxic solvent, so proper ventilation is essential during operation.
Nail polish remover:Nail polish remover is what we use to remove nail polish. Most women have it, and any nail polish remover will work. The method is the same as for nail polish remover: wet a paper towel and place it over the glue. Let it sit for three minutes, then wipe it off.
Hand CreamYou can use hand cream to remove it. Squeeze some onto the gelatinous substance and rub it gently with your thumb. After a while, the gelatin will come off.
